Our second annual health and medicine focused hackathon called HealthHack2 is open to high school students & 8th graders.

Participants will be working in 3-4 member team on coding challenges in the health and medicine field in specific areas (e.g. lifestyle, insurance, primary care, awareness, scientific developement etc) with problems that need to be solved.

Project idea presentation will happen during first hour of the hackathon, allowing teams to understand problems in the healthcare field and pick ones to develop solutions to for the rest of the hackathon. You are welcome to come up with specific challenge idea and pitch your ideas. 

At the end of the day, teams will present their programs/applications to the judges, who will award the top three teams based on their programs/applications’ creativity and complexity as well as factoring in how well the programs/applications can solve the problems the teams were trying to solve. Mentors and volunteers will be there to help.

Judges will award the top three teams based on their programs/applications’ creativity and complexity as well as factoring in how well the programs/applications can solve the problems the teams were trying to solve

We will follow MLH code of conduct.

All projects must be done during the hackathon and submitted by 6 PM.

Judging starts at 6:10 PM when teams will present their projects
